It was quite fun yesterday. It was down to 3-handed Live. And most live players get very confused when its short handed. I was up a rack in about 15 mins, but one of the players sitting out(he refused to play short; says the casino gets more money) was begging the floor to put us in a game. Anyway the floor tells us we all have seats and i turn to one of the players and jokingly say "heads up?" He says "yes ill play." I was a bit surprised, but figured it was because he was tilting bad. I called him down with Ace high one hand and value bet my pair of 4s the other. Anyway i declined because i have never played Heads up before, but i should have given it a shot.

Yes, you absolutely should've. I hate that about Commerce. Players just sit out and refuse to play if it gets like 6-handed, even in the 40 game and it is usually the result of too many people walking. I know most people here dont like the 3rd man walking rule, but I have left way to many good games that would not have broken if this rule were in place.

The Rake is tiny with Commerce's structure. People who complain are bad at poker. Somewhat strat related: for Commerce regulars, at one point do you guys not chop in terms of both limits and # of players. My default right now is that I chop down to 5 handed but I only play the 20.

Sailboats, after you left last night, my table is the one that became short. We went down to 3-handed, and it was awesome. At that point I was stuck 600 for the night and feeling like crap, but short-handed poker (about 30 mins at 3-handed, 30 mins at 4-handed, and another 30 at 5-handed as people started trickling in) put me back up so I could book a $180 win for the night.

During 4-handed play, I 3-bet UTG's raise on the button with KQs. Flop was 567 and we went check-check. Turn was Q, he bet, I raise, he called me down and got all mad. Next SB of mine, he raised, I 3-bet A4o, and the flop was Q96. I bet, he looked at me and goes "KQ again?" and folded.

Commerce 40 is still a drop game. Time starts in the 60.

PJ,
You are the king of 3-betting KQs in steal spots. No doubt you won those hands. A4o is kinda spewy though, no?

Play 5 chop 6. I have no idea why I chop though.

Leaving for Commerce in a couple hours, hopefully I win a lot.

I chop but don't chop with the person on my right if the person on my left doesn't. This makes it +EV when you are to the right of a chopper and to the left of a non chopper.
