Here are my latest two mocks. I waited on quarterbacks, because most of the top 8 quarterbacks were gone by round 5.

QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, RB/WR, TE, K, D (only 10 rounds, so I didn't take a kicker or defense in either draft)

1(3)- S. Jackson
2(22)- E. James
3(27)- B. Jacobs
4(46)- L. Evans
5(51)- B. Edwards
6(70)- R. Brown
7(75)- C. Cooley
8(94)- M. Leinart
9(99)- L. White
10(118)- D. Henderson

1(9)- W. Parker
2(16)- T. Henry
3(33)- R. Wayne
4(40)- M. Barber
5(57)- L. Evans
6(64)- B. Berrian
7(81)- M. Clayton
8(88)- C. Cooley
9(105)- J. Cutler
10(112)- B. Jackson

Nice. This league has the same structure I'll be playing for $$$ this year, except we draft 16 full spots.

QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, RB/WR, TE, K, D (only 10 rounds, so I didn't take a kicker or defense in either draft)

1(3)- S. Jackson standard, if available
2(22)- E. James standard
3(27)- B. Jacobs this is a little high for me for BJ, but dependent on each draft. Usually if there's not a better RB here, there's a end of tier 1 WR.
4(46)- L. Evans good value
5(51)- B. Edwards too high, but I assume WRs are coming off the board at this point
6(70)- Reggie Brown
7(75)- C. Cooley decent spot
8(94)- M. Leinart a little high. if most QBs are gone and the draft is indeed 10 people, you can easily wait till the last round to pick up him/Farve/Cutler/etc
9(99)- L. White
10(118)- D. Henderson good final 2

1(9)- W. Parker no brainer if he falls to 9
2(16)- T. Henry same at 16
3(33)- R. Wayne good
4(40)- M. Barber dependant on field, but good
5(57)- L. Evans excellent, best pick
6(64)- B. Berrian too high
7(81)- M. Clayton same, but im sure WRs are coming off the board like mad
8(88)- C. Cooley good
9(105)- J. Cutler same comment as above but this is probably a good spot to pick him up
10(112)- B. Jackson excellent

Where's that cutoff point where you're a complete idiot if you pass up on LJ? I went to PSU, I love the guy, but this season is looking ugly for him.

He's pretty risky and will never fall, but if he somehow made it to the 10th or so pick he's probably the best player on the board.

I know, but as it stands right now I wouldn't count on him playing until week 10. You can't really afford that if you want to win your league.

Wow do not take Willis McGahee. He sucks so bad. I've had Bills season tickets for years, and you will be sorely dissappointed with what you get from this guy. Zero touchdown production from him - he has no nose for the goal line.

[/ QUOTE ]That long of holdout pretty much never happens. I'm struggling right now to think of a top player (this really isn't a Deion Branch like case) who ever has. Even the worst holdouts (Emmit Smith, Barry Sanders) only lasted the first few games of the year. I would expect Johnson signs before the start of the season.

As to where I would have to take him I guess at 9 or 10, but I cannot ever see him falling that far. I just got an e-mail saying he was kept in my keeper league and we can only keep a max of 2 guys and you have to give up your first round pick if you keep the second guy.

Agreed completely. I don't know how several websites' "experts" still keep ranking him #2 or #3. From everything I've read, LJ and the Chiefs are far apart on contract negotiations and LJ is dead serious about holding out until he gets paid.

Even if he does sign, he goes to an offense that will feature-

- Either a second year QB who has never started a NFL game (Croyle) or the very average Damon Huard. All reports out of KC camp are that Herm Edwards likes Croyle and sees him as the future of the franchise, not Huard

- An O-Line that has lost several starters over the past few years

- Tony Gonzalez and then a bunch of mediocrity receiving the ball. This worked when KC had their super O-Line and Priest/LJ was barreling through holes and defenses respected the throwing ability of Trent Green

Way too may negatives/warning signs to make LJ any kind of top pick.

Is picking Priest in the 14th Round an egregious error?
