Because its pretty difficult to be successful anywhere but small stakes with these stats.

I also remember seeing some pretty sick screen shots posted by Skier_5 that showed a PFR% of 13.X and I think good2cu (who is apparently a big winner at 5/10 this year) has a similar PFR%. It is clearly possible to be a big winner above 1/2 without raising a ton of hands.

Furthermore - my guess is that one of the biggest reasons that people have trouble moving up (from 100NL to 200NL or from 200NL to 400NL) is that they think they need to alter their basic playing style by becoming more aggressive pf as an adjustment to the next level. I'm guessing that most players would probably be better off if they just tried to play their normal game.

for me, right now. its about getting better. i think i can successfully add hands to my range in many situations, right now im going through the phase of learning exactly when those situations are. i think this is going to be very helpful for me long term.

Perfectly legitimate to experiment and see what works. I was just trying to discourage you from thinking such changes were necessary (to beat 2/4 for example). My guess is that you ran better at 100NL over a large sample playing nitty than any 2p2er (or anyone else for that matter) playing a more open style. Clearly you are a good player and whatever you are doing is working (for the most part).

Today everything is going wrong. My W$SD is 20% and I moved down to 50NL to get my tilt out. There, I catch a runner-runner flush, only to run into a higher runner-runner flush. Weee...
