HOLY CHRIST! He stretched to make contact. He didn't stretch to bust Cheechoo's knee. Fluke accident. That play happens all the time without a knee hitting another knee.

[/ QUOTE ]

Now go read the description of "KNEEING" and answer this:

McSorely ACCIDENTLY hit Brashear where he did. Does that make it OK?

If agree that McSorely should have been punished, can you please explain the difference. Stretching out a leg is DANGEROUS, despite what you think.

McSorley assaulted Brashear. That's a whole different level. There is absolutely no mistaking what McSorley was trying to do there. He wanted to whack the crap out of Brashear.

game 1 prediction not so horrible

Solid workmanlike effort. Glad to see the Rangers win too - perhaps we'll go thru all NY metro area teams in the east.
The Canadian broadcasters were pretty good.

I would like the league to change its suspension policy and include hits like these. Doing so would probably end up handing out 30 more 1-2 game suspensions over the course of the year. As it is right now though, this will never happen.

Regardless, there have been far worse hits then this that go w/out suspension. Do you think this knee on knee was any different then what Darcy Tucker did to Jochen Hecht last year?

How is it on a different level? Both Hartnell and McSorely injured a player unintentionally. You are RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR BODY AND STICK in the NHL.

McSorley was 100% intentional, you retard. You think he was he going for his shoulder or something?

He didn't mean to INJURE Brashear and didn't intend on hitting him where he did. He WAS going for the shoulder... he's stated it a million times that he would always hit a player on the shoulder to try to start a fight.

Hartnell didn't mean to injure Cheechoo and maybe didn't intend on hitting him where he did.

I think you guys are also missing out on the fact that it was a LATE hit and he ELBOWED Cheechoo.

That, and add on a knee-to-knee.

You guys are ruining this thread. All those arguing about the kneeing might as well be talking to a wall.

Tuco.
