i wouldn't say the bears are the most complete team for sure... wait until after NYG and after NE.

Who do you see as a more complete team then?

Some of this is crazy talk.

The Bears have 5 14 point blowouts in 7 games. That's ridiculous in the NFL, no matter who you're up against.

Lovie Smith is probably the second best head coach in the league, and it wouldn't be stupid to give him a contract extension.

Lovie has only coached one playoff game. Its not like he is 0-9 in playoff games. He will win at least one this year. The Bears right now are the most complete team, Indy has no defense and will be exposed in the playoffs like last year. I think its looking like another Chicago vs New England Super Bowl. Bears will lose 2 or 3 games this year, no doubt, hopefully one wont be against the Giants because that game will make the race for the number one seed tighten up..

San Diego's "A" game might be the best in the league. but I'm not sure we are going to see it.

San Diego's pass D is pretty bad. Their front 7, special teams and their O are both some of the best units in the league.

you might want to see if Lovie can win a playoff game first

Is this straight trolling or honesty? Since you do have pretty respectable ideas on football. I see no reason why we should not try and give Lovie an extended contract right now. It's not like the Bears can't fire him if he turns out to be a horrible coach.

honesty

sometimes, one coach can get you to a certain level and you need the next coach to get you higher.

So far, Lovie has built the defense so that the Bears are becoming a playoff team year-in and year-out.

What remains to be seen is if he can win the big game.

I guess I'm not that familiar with coaches contracts. If they can later fire him with no big loss of $$$, then it's a good idea.

Lovie Smith has exceeded every fans and even the organizations expectations. Smith has done his job, yet he is the 31st highest paid coach in the league.

We're still trying to forget Wannstedt, John Schoop, and Juaron. Please let us lock up Lovie for a little while.
