OK...so we are into the 11th day of new limits and Daytona still isn't spreading NL games, and not Raking/awarding jackpots. Is there anyplace else in Florida that is having a problem getting this NL game started?
They say they want to protect their out of state gaming interest by making sure the 'I's are dotted and 'T's are all crossed.
Haven't played much of the 2/5 HE games but the 2/5 Omaha H/L has HUGE swings with the luckbox of the day taking away up to 1K at the end of the session.
As a side note...they are going to "TRY" to get a 1 table $800 buy sng on Tuesday July 17. Don't know if they have a contigency plan if there is more than 10 people interested in playing it.
Don't want to quote a structure because they have a habit of changing those at the last minute.

Yeah it really sucks that Daytona is slacking, I dont know what their problem is. I have been making the drive down to Melbourne for the last week. Its a pretty decent place to play, alot nicer than daytona but the drive stinks.

Im hopin they get it goin soon. Ill post if I hear anything new.

My east coast of florida geography is admittedly pretty bad, but there's gotta be something relatively close to Daytona that you can go play some NL? Melbourne, Cape Canaveral, etc

Both Melbourne and Jacksonville are about 90 miles away. Its doable but it def gets old.

I stopped into the Daytona Room the other day. The cardroom dude told me "The other places are running the NL game illegally, as the law is very gray in what's allowed".

So i looked up the bill, and here's what it says.

"However, a cardroom operator may conduct games
16 of Texas Hold-em without a betting limit if the required
17 player buy-in is no more than $100."

Does it get any clearer than that??? What's up with Daytona, do they just not want our business? I was up at St John's and it looked like more than half their tables were NL games. Heading down to Melbourne today.

I've only played on the internet in the past & haven't played for about a year... Now that the laws have changed, I've been to the Tampa Hard Rock a few times. I may be running good but man are live players bad. Even the ones doing all those tricks with there chips. & I don't even remotely consider myself a good player...

All I can say is that if this keeps up, I may have to quit my day job

St. Pete Dog Track

staff was knowledgable and friendly, but overall the patrons (hero excluded) was not very, eh how do you say...um...not smelly.

the tournament room (hearts club) is a a bit nicer in all aspects though...

i did play 2 straight and lost $40 in over an hour...i blame it on rake and other things i can't control as i am a poo flinging master (must cut my teeth at 1/2NL next time!!)

Can anyone give me an update on the rake/time charge at Sarasota Dog track?

I am willing to drive the extra time to get to tampa HR if the rake/time charge sucks at the dog track
