call flop min-raise in hand 2

[/ QUOTE ]

What's Firetribe's plan for the rest of the hand?

[/ QUOTE ]

call the flop min raise, on a blank turn, you definitely need to call another bet, if the flush or an over hits, proceed with caution, but i don't think calling another bet when the flush hits would be bad nec.
if an ace hits and he bets, you can probably fold, he may just be repping the ace, but you dont know if he will do that so for now you can fold there.

Stickies/Pooh Bah posts in SSNL and uNL can help you with hand selection in cash games. It ends up being pretty situational and dependent on your skill as well though.

Think about how you want the hand to play.

Think about the players left to act.

Think about whether their style will work with your plan.

Then play the hand or don't.

i raise to like 20 with your read

[/ QUOTE ]

His read is that a minraise could often be a bluff. Why would he want to reraise?

interesting hand i posted in ssnl, opinions anyone?

i think raising and folding to a reraise/shove (aside from maybe like a minraise) is fairly standard here, but some others seem to disagree

I didn't have any real read on villian, he seemed like somewhat of a tag player, perhaps calling a few too many hands for 1 raise PF.

Is raising here with the intention of folding to a shove/raise a bad line? I figure if he is willing to reraise after he leads out like that he probably has a better 2 pair or AQ, could also be a set.

I think with 2 pair worse than mine he'd just call my reraise.

If i raise, i will raise to ~70 here.

[/ QUOTE ]

minraise (not kidding) and he'll call with 1 pair/2pair that you beat. i think you can safely fold to a shove.
