Thanks for the compliment, but I'm still disappointed with where I'm at as of late.

I think I just need to set some goals and just stick with them. Is it too far fetched or too time consuming to set a goal of $10k roll by January by playing only $50 and $100 NL? If I can manage to run at a 6-8ptbb/100 at $50 NL and play maybe 50k hands a month, how much can I expect to earn at this rate?

Just trying to put it in a mathematical perspective, if I can win just 1 BI per day (regardless of the # of hands) that's about 30 buyins on average per month. That would be $1500 per month at $50 NL. With 5 full months until january, that would make it $7500 profit by just averaging 1 buyin a day at $50 NL. And this is excluding bonuses (or rakeback depending on the site).

hbomb--- in 5 months at only 50nl even with a winrate of 4-5 ptbb I think you could expect to have a 10k roll by january. (thats like 50k hands a month)

I would play 100nl or 200nl at other sites besides stars---- but all my $ is locked up in stars

I hate 100nl at stars--- my winrate at 50nl has always been more then double what it is at 100nl

my winrates at 200nl are good but im just not ready for the swings again yet---- im going to take a 15 buyin shot at 200nl in september

Ive found for me that I need to have 50-100 buyins to feel comfortable and not emotionally effected by the $

my average winrate at 50nl is 35$-40$ an hour--- and for my last 10.5k its been 105$ an hour (which i believe would rival a decent winrate at 200nl)

and yes poker is just leisure $, I have a sick job right out of college so i dont depend on poker for anything.

Yea, I saw him sitting with 3k on 2 tables about a month or 2 ago. Last I talked to him over on Liquidpoker he said he had about a $6800 roll at $100 NL, so it seems he is also fairly bankroll nittish and wouldn't take the chance to ever short stack $5k NL with that roll [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
