the donkeys are out in force today

unfortunately though when I win a few buy-ins it causes me to lose motivation to keep playing, so I'm costing myself thousands of sklansky bucks by quitting

some highlights today include the obvious JJ calldown vs my KK, AJo calling my reraise in order to shove a ten-high flop vs my kings, 77 mistaking itself for a flopped flush and taking itself to valuetown with a flop minraise and some dinky turn and river bets vs my AA, and the guy who checkraised the river with third pair to represent pretty much nothing at all vs my top pair (sneakily underplayed in order to induce excess action)

all was not well though, as the donkey that got it all in on the turn with two pair vs my straight sucked out for an $800 pot, leaving my final tally for the session at a mere $1742 over 866 hands (20.6 ptbb/100)

I play mostly at 3/6 but I choose good 2/4 tables over mediocre 3/6 tables (and I try to watch for good 5/10 tables too but usually if there's a juicy one the waitlist balloons before I spot it).

Today I started my session before there was much of anything to choose from higher than 2/4.

3rd break, 47, (high of 63k),
average 61k
we are on the bubble!

This will be my first cash in a tourney with a buy-in this large
