why not complete w/ QJ type hands at a table full of bad players?

[/ QUOTE ]

'cause if the skill differential between you and the other players is big enough for QJo to be profitable, you're not playing 25nl.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't believe that's true. For a variety of reasons decent players could be playing NL25. I was last month for instance. Of course I'm not a great player or anything but it doesn't take scary talent at NL25 to have a huge edge over the average monkey.

Also - based on my experience last month if you jack this up to $1.50 you can expect 2 to 3 callers and now you're playing a raised pot OOP againt opponents that generally don't like folding.

I believe completing > folding > raising.

against semi-loose and loose opponents completing here is 100% standard at 25nl. Raising is going to put you in a lot of ugly situations. Folding is too nitty.

For those who say you won't get paid off when you hit, well you're not exactly looking to play for stacks in this hand. You're getting great odds and you'll win a nice small pot when you do hit one of your pairs. At 25nl, raising here is definitely a leak.

edit, lol i didn't actually look at postflop. I think leading for like $.85 and check/calling are both fine here. on the turn just put him all in after the raise, doesn't really matter tho you aren't folding there. nh Jek.

Default wtf

Awkward OOP hand last night at FW.

I have like $350 behind, pretty much everyone covered. Its a new table, 4th hand in.

PF I am in big blind w/ 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

5 limpers to flop, I complete.

<font color="red">Pot: $12 </font>
Flop:T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I lead out for $10. Two callers in between, short stack goes all in for $45. I think about raising, but flat call thinking worse hands might overcall. One caller, everyone else folds.

<font color="red">Pot: $157 </font>
Turn:T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I check, with intentions of calling most bets here. He checks behind.

<font color="red">Pot: $157 </font>
River:T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Better to check or lead here? If we check, are we ever folding if someone bets like 2/3 pot?

Balla.

I just finished up 5 or 6 sessions at .01/.02 and had to be staked to get in that action.

BH,

I would open bet utg pf, 4 bet flop, lead turn, lead river (assuming I am not already all-in).

I think you played that hand way to passively... but what do I know.
