so ellsbury is starting for either coco or drew next year right [/ QUOTE ] hrmmm, that i doubt....neither crisp or (and especially) drew will be moved due to being at such low values. i dont see the red sox (at first) sitting drew and crisp still should project better next year. i dont think it would be the correct decision perhaps, but still i dont see them bailing on drew without at least 150 AB's or so. 30% of next season and drew is hitting like this, he will probably be losing a lot of AB's to ellsbury. either way, he will get plenty of AB's as manny will likely need more time off as he ages, coupled with being the 4th OF. |

Re: *official 2007 red sox thread*
it probably is but they better get a bat (like arod..) ellsburys value and status as an elite prospect is not cause of a big bat

Sorry I wasn't able to be around to enjoy this one with you boys. I was up at Seabrook playing some live poker for a change. Of course they had the game on and when the ump who liked to make those delayed strike calls delayed it even a little more, wrung up the final out on that wicked curve ball the place erupted. No Yankee fans up in NH I guess. Two things: 1. Around the 6 th or 7th inning I turned to my brother and told him "look at the look in his eye, he's doing this". 2. Also after the 7th, I overheard a dealer at the next table say "he'll never come out to start the 8th, his pitch count is too high". I, not even knowing his [censored] pitch count yelled over "how much you want to bet he comes out to start the 8th" and he said "I don't know, how much you want to bet" and me being the big spender that I am said "ten bucks" to which the nit dealer said "that's over my head". WTF. P.S. #1 is a fib but #2 is true and good day all around as I chopped the 7 O'clock tourney with 2 other guys with me being the short stack. These guys at Seabrook love to chop for some reason. [/ QUOTE ] Toro, next time you go up to Seabrook, let me know. |
