Thank you Brewers, I feel like I can sleep tonight being up 2 with 4 to play. Padres look like they are getting it together at the right time as well up huge in SF right now and heading to Milwaukee tomorrow for four games.

I don't know if it's that I am not as passionate as you guys, but I am not worried about this at all.

Best case scenario for me:

Cubs win, Brewers lose tomorrow. Magic Number: 1

I have two shots to see the Cubs clinch the division on either Friday or Saturday (which hopefully they will anyways).

I would be much more confident if we were winning games instead of losing, but still getting closer.

Yeah, I dunno, I have never felt so freaked out over sports for some reason. I couldn't sleep much last night, kept going over all the possible scenarios ("if they lose one, we only have to win two" etc).

I'm older then most of you guys. I remember all too well the heartbreaks of 84 and 89, for example. I am 37 years old and the Cubs have won exactly two division championships while I have been alive. This is a big deal to me.

Seriously, Cubs fans, there is nothing to worry about. With Yost managing combined with a dreadful bullpen (and, you know, it would be too much to ask Yost to put Cordero before the 9th), there is no way the Brewers make hay against the Padres. Plus, the Cubs just have to beat a Griffey-less and Dunn-less Reds once or twice.

"Seriously Cub fans, there is nothing to worry about. With two games at home against a mediocre team and Prior and Wood on the mound there is no way the Cubs won't win at least one game."

Yeah, we've heard this all before. Or....

"Seriously, Cubs fans, there is nothing to worry about. With McKeon managing combined with a defeated team, there is no way the Cubs won't win at least one game in San Diego out of three, especially since you can always bring back Sutcliffe if it becomes necessary who is 17-1 for the Cubs this year."

We've seen this movie before. Excuse us if we're a bit nervous about how it ends.
