If you can suspend reality, then Prison Break is pretty good.

I got one of those saline "mist" nasal sprays for a mild sinus infection and don't understand how to use it. The directions say to spray twice into each nostril, head upright. It squirts out liquid though, it's not like just a light mist, so I have no idea what I'm supposed to do and how much I'm supposed to squirt.

Do I inhale this relatively large amount of liquid as I'm spraying? When I did it just now I kinda inhaled some of it and wasn't sure if I was supposed to and I let the rest just drip down my face.

[/ QUOTE ]

Try not to inhale it - get it on the sides of your nostrils. You want to clean the inside of your nose, not your sinuses or throat. Keep some kleenex around.

[/ QUOTE ]

it's a sinus infection, not a nostril infection. He has to get it into his sinuses or it's pointless. you snort the [censored] in, it pours back out and through into your mouth, you hack, sputter, blow, etc. It's awefull. But, if your prone to sinus infections (I am) it works. Basicly pockets in the sinuses get blocked, and stuff starts to grow in stuff in those blocked off pockets (ie infection). Flooding the sinuses with salt water breaks up the blocks, allowing the infected gunk to come out.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yikes! All I have is a lame little cough, no real symptoms other than that. Doctor said the coughing is worse when I lie down because of the nasal drip. I guess this still fits into the category where I have to snort it though?

[/ QUOTE ]

your call really. it helps it clear up alot, and often I can start when I can tell the infection is starting and clear it up without having to see the doc. Mine get pretty bad though, so a little gross verses alot of miserable is an easy call. If I just had mild symptoms donno if i'd bother.

and......

I'm old. I have kids almost as old as most of you.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ugh. I have nasal allergies and get sinus infections frequently too. I try to keep the nose clean with that stuff but I get severe pain in the sinuses if I get the saline stuff in them. I just take the antibiotics and if the sinus pain is bad Advil works very well.

and I'm old. I think I'm even older than Lacky, if thats possible

Yea it seems like, if anything, the saline stuff did nothing but give me some pain. I'm not clogged up or anything anyway. If I blew out a bunch of gunk I'd be really excited.

anyone request a stars cashout recently for over 1k?

i did on the 14th so its been 13 days. im a little nervous because i just moved even though i changed/forwarded all my addresses and usually it takes about 10 days.

[/ QUOTE ]

the last check i got came in a week. the previous took almost three weeks, and the one before that got lost in the mail and had to be canceled. There's really nothing you can do until you reach that 15 working day point. Then they'll ask you if you want to wait a few more days or have the check canceled and have them reissue a new one. gl.
