Re: Who has the highest \"Cuba number?\"
I thought the criteria was to have ONE good film and have the rest suck.
Not to have one good film, and a general body of work after that which isn't very impressive. If you did it like that than certainly Costner and Cage and Travolta types have done enough bad movies to make up for their 4 or 5 decent ones. Something like that anyway. I think that taking the average of all the movies but one isn't the correct way to look at the Cuba factor, is it? And for that matter, I don't think the Cuba factor is really that great a title since Cuba himself had more decent performances than just the one as has been mentioned. |

Re: Who has the highest \"Cuba number?\"
How did I make it to the bottom of this thread without seeing Chevy Chase's name mentioned? He's made something like 40+ movies, and the best of them (Caddyshack, Fletch, the first Vacation movie) are so horribly overshadowed and outnumbered by the worst of them (The Karate Dog, Caddyshack II, Snow Day - w/Cuba Gooding, ironically enough) that he's practically his own punchline.
His body of work: Solid 10: Caddyshack 8+: The original Vacation and Fletch movies 7: Foul Play, Three Amigos 5 or less: Pretty much everything else, and it's a loooong list. And the really bad ones, like Caddyshack II, are just toxic. |

Re: Who has the highest \"Cuba number?\"
All i want to say in this thread is that I always have wished CGJr would take some good roles because he is an awesome actor but does the worst movies ever ever ever.
Ugh. |

I nominate Karen Black
However, I don't think that the Queen Latifah suggestion got nearly enough Kudos |

Re: Who has the highest \"Cuba number?\"
GoT, Bullock was definitely one of the worst things about Crash. I'm all for opinions and I actually like the film a lot more than most, but it does strike me as odd that you could think she was good in that. They racist talk throughout the movie is insanely contrived, but her role is the worst (blame it on the script if you want, but it's not like she turned crap into gold).

The Karate Kid is just slightly ahead of Crossroads? |

What about David Spade? Tommy Boy was great, and perhaps the Emperor's New groove was 5ish, but other than that (Joe Dirt, Black Sheep, Dickie Roberts, Benchwarmers) everything he has acted in has been a complete waste of calories my eyes burned from watching his movies. [/ QUOTE ] Joe Dirt is one of the greatest movies of all time. It's a Homeric epic for the masses. |
