Eric "Long Walk" Lindgren is my hero. It is a great prop bet and a great feat of endurance.

how many miles did he walk?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think they said 7 miles per round, so about 28.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ah, so 1000yds is equal to a mile these days?

[/ QUOTE ]

LOL. Check back in a few months or better still, a year when the amount will have gone up to $1M, the distance walked will have gone up to 50 miles and EL will have reportedly gone to the hospital with the bottoms of his feet torn up a la Ted Forrest's marathon injury (which actually did happen -- or so the legend goes).

Hope you realize that just because the course is 7km doesn't mean E-dog only had to walk 7km x 4.
7 miles is a pretty good estimate.

The Course is NOT condusive to walking as when the PGA played Bears Best in 2004 The players and their caddies where carted between almost every hole.

It is not condusive to walking....PGA played there in 2004 and on most holes...caddies and tour pros where shuttled to
almost all the holes.

It is what Nicklaus supposedly picked as his 18 favorite holes (I think of courses he's designed or built) and it is made to be driven in a cart. Regardless, hard to believe u can walk it and shoot -90 in an hour and a half and then do it 3 more times. It's 110 degrees here for godsakes.

[/ QUOTE ] It's not Nickalus' favorite holes, jut the holes from other courses he has desinged that were condusive to the land he had.
