He's a horrible liar and clearly scamming here. I like the phrasing in his email that they return the "remaining funds" to the guy. Umm, how do you know there is less than $2k?

Here is a sequence of events for those needed to catch up.

1) OP needs to get money to Stars. Ships money to Mythra on Full Tilt.

2) Mythra thinks $$$ZOMG MONIES$$$ and ships nothing on Stars.

3) Mythra comes up with clever plan to say OP lost bet. This clearly wasn't a good idea with PM screenshots and other evidence.

4) Mythra doesn't care, but then starts seeing personal information showing up online. OMG I NEED A STORY QUICK!!

5) Mythra claims somebody hacked every account he had, looked into his posting history, set up this transaction, talk and acted just like them, then made up a story instead of just taking the money and running. Uh huh.

6) We all laugh at the idiot who is still trying to backpeddle his way out of this. I believe he is going to have Full Tilt return the money but I don't think he will ever admit that he made all this crap up. It's not hard to see the truth though.

Just a thought, but if it was someone at mythra's school or whatever, he could have very similiar speech patterns and phrases, so even though that looks like good evidence, really in a lot of cases it means nothing.

And if it was someone who was friends with mythra who hacked him then he would know a lot of his personal details from real life.

please address this mythra - it's either a big clue as to who the hacker is (likely one of your friends since they talk like you and could predict what you were going to say on two plus two after the fact and it means that they are quite cunning and devious) or it's the most damning piece of evidence against you if you did steal the money.

I would be quite surprised if Mythra was telling the truth. He sounds like one of my friends who is a pathological liar. My guess is that he's the type that actually thinks that people believe what he says, if not, why wouldn't he just disappear. Sounds like he might be doing that anyway.

I agree, there's a small chance he is also the victim of unfortunate circumstance. To me, his tone and attitude don't sound like someone honestly trying to exonerate himself.
