The NFL is tough to win on the road. They played a good Minnesota divisonal rival on the road and still won. [/ QUOTE ] I was the Bears-MN game and it was a very good win for the Bears. I also said after the game that MN has the look of a 9-7 or 10-6 wildcard team. I would still agree--they aren't a great team and might appear mediocre (Brad Johnson QB, offense doesn't score much, but good D), but who are you comparing them to? |

MT2R is being more and more comical as the weeks pass. Is he the Baghdad Bob of sports? Run along and cheer your Cardinals as the weakest World Champs in history and quit pissing on this Bears thread, oh and get over that St Louis big city wannabe envy that you seem to be stricken with. Great game by the Bears 7-0, against a weak schedule, but so what? The NFL is tough to win on the road. They played a good Minnesota divisonal rival on the road and still won. Anyone who knows football knows this is not an easy task. They had one bad game against AZ and still won. Meanwhile they have pasted everyone else [/ QUOTE ] lol....have you been following the story so far? I am from Chicago. There is no big city wannabe about it. Man, some of you are trolling me when all I do is give factual arguments. |

Re: Bears 2006 Season Thread
They really got outcoached last night. The defense was confused as all hell and couldn't even sniff Brady when they didn't blitz. The real Minnesota team is somewhere between that befuddled mess and the complete domination of the week before.
I still think Minnesota is a slightly above average team who will be in the playoffs this year with their remaining schedule. They just won't do it by coming from behind. That is just not how they are built. If they can pound away at you and Brad Johnson just has to manage a game they are pretty good. And if we keep judging who is a good team by which team hasn't [censored] the bed this year we have no teams left. Just shut down the NFL every team is awful. |

Re: Bears 2006 Season Thread
Just saw in the Sun Times today an article about Lovie and the Bears need to sign him to an extension asap. Is it a good idea to offer him an extension now or until after the SB when his price might sky rocket?
Aside from that MT2R troll, Chicago/hater, inferiority complex guy this has been a very good thread. |

you might want to see if Lovie can win a playoff game first [/ QUOTE ] Is this straight trolling or honesty? Since you do have pretty respectable ideas on football. I see no reason why we should not try and give Lovie an extended contract right now. It's not like the Bears can't fire him if he turns out to be a horrible coach. |
