I watched the episode last night, and my impression of OP was tight nitty and boring. (I did not know OP was 2+2, just a stranger) I read OP's post and see his explanation of why, but producers made the right decision based on the facts they had at the time.
OP could have thought less of maximazing poker EV and more about promoting himself as a 'fun' player.
You showed no personality at all at the table, if you ever get to a FT or another shot at TV, prepare and have some material you can do to get some airtime.
If you have that in you, might not be for you.

Telling jokes, talking smack, being goofy (note RainKhan) = +EV. If he had thought more along the lines of the value in generating a good TV personality for himself, that would have paid off in the long run. I mean hell, RainKhan wasnt even f*cking funny, he just acted like a retard. And walah, a Pokerstars endorsement deal. He literally didnt tell any jokes or say anything funny whatsoever, and just acted silly.

Is it a little transparent when you step in to defend a man when you have an avatar of him?

One can still pull off being personable without acting like a douche. That being said, put most anybody on TV like that and they'd freeze like a deer in the headlights, myself most certainly included.

That comment had like nothing to do with Jman outside of the fact that this thread is about him.

From an "outsider's" (no idea who Jman is) point of view, this thread leaves a seriously bad taste in my mouth towards the OP. Comes off extremely self-righteously. He bought in min, played like a nit and they decided to replace him with an ostensibly more interesting player - it's a shame he never got to put his master plan or whatever into action, but it's pretty easy to see HSP's point of view here. I can't imagine anybody affiliated with HSP who happened to wander into this thread would view the OP in a much more positive light either. Doesn't seem like the smartest idea posting this in terms of chances of getting back on the show. But it sure was a fun read, so I'm happy you did.

I completely agree with everything you said.

The player came off like a nit because he *was* a nit. According to his own calculations he was only playing 10% of his hands, and only was in the game for about 40 hands. This means he was keeping more than a full rebuy in his pocket when he was only planning to play 4 pots, total, on day 2. A reasonable player would've bought in for the spare $220 and just got up from his seat if he went busto, but was still scheduled for day 3.

And even if raptor lists it as 1200bbs, the fact remains that 1.44 min-buyins is short.

Hopefully you'll learn something from this, but I'm guessing you won't. Nit.

[/ QUOTE ]
Unsure if this is a level, but in case it isn't. Jman actually planned on playing five hands he said he was going to open fold AA if he got them more than 5 times.

This is getting ridiculous. He sat down in a game full of people playing INCREDIBLY TERRIBLE--, and played somewhat tightly for a full-ring game (15% is probably about optimal in a normal, aggro game). This game was off-the-charts loose--people cold-calling large pf raises from tight players with J8o, K7o, etc., and he had just sat down against a table full of people he didn't know. On top of that, he had a maximum of two hours to play. People who think he should've been in there mixing it up are clueless at best.

Harman plays like a nit too and she gets to stay why
1 she's women
2 she's one of " the gang"
What I'm saying is that I think these highstakes are all a big scam or something for entertainment
the same group who know each other against each other staking each other
the money keeps going around or they (un)knowingly collude to take some whale's money
I wouldn't even worry about getting fame or recognition it's the money that you need
I would like to see how these so called "best in the world" do against a group of total unknown good and not so good players how fast they would be able to adapt
