Would you people live in Thailand if the cost of living was the same as in the developed world? [/ QUOTE ] If you change one thing, everything changes. So basicly you cant ask this question in a vacuum. And as pumpui Ive used more or around the same as at home, which is a lot, Im from Denmark which has a high cost of living compared to almost any other place in the world. But the money is just spend on other stuff. |

hmm. cost me more to live here than in canada. this country is developed, its not friggin india. we dont all live in huts like those backpackers [/ QUOTE ] WOW!!!!! Uninspiring architecture!!! I've gotta get on the next plane to Bangkok. How much do you spend a month? Do things cost the same or do you buy more and live in a place you couldn't really afford in Canada? Why would anyone live in a dirty, smelly, heavily polluted city when you can live in the developed world? Any Thai would happily swap places and live in Canada. |

Re: .
airasia is basically your only choice among cheap airlines. will be like $150 for a round-trip ticket.
btw, airasia has a "free" flight promotion for booking right now until sunday on some routes: http://www.airasia.com/site/th/en/pr...ence=bkk071147 |

Great thread guys. I'm looking to move out to Bangkok by the start of January. Can anyone recommend any nice 1 bedroom apartments? My rent budget is about 30k baht/month.
manylevels, I'm pretty sure that hardly any casinos in macau offer poker (apart from chinese poker and the like), so if you're going there looking for some live action, it may not be easy to find |

Check out Centre Point Serviced apartments. I couldn't get past all the hotel brokers, but google it and ye shall find. There are better recommendations, but I just can't think of them right now...I'll back to you on that. There is an online speed dating party at my bar this saturday (cheezy, but lots of single chicks). http://www.thailandfriends.com/index...me=Events#1306 |
