SportsClub says 86.1 as of today, and by my math I got around 80 (I took all 36 possible outcomes and picked the ones that clinched and half that gave ties).

But I did some better math, and got 100%. 100%. **** the dead goat, and Bartman, and the 69 Mets, the 96 Mets, and even the 3001 New New York Mets. The Cubs are not cursed at all. I'm sick of this crying, defeatist ****.

There are no curses (maybe the Madden one, that one's fun.) Were the Red Sox cursed? No, they just sucked ass through a curly straw for 90+ years. Is Philly cursed for not being able to pick out any major title out of a lineup? NO, they also suck balls.

The magic number is 4, it will hit 0 by Sunday night, and I will be taking my dayoff I just got on 10/3 watching the Cubs play.

Some much needed good news. The dynamics just changed a bit in our favor with one swing in the Padres/Giants game as Giles hit a 3-run homer in the 9th with 2 outs to put the Padres up 6-4. I really wanted them to get this win to give them some momentum and motivation this weekend. Like, them having a one game lead on Thursday would be perfect, and that's what it will be if they can hold on tonight.

why the hate? Before the last 2 days, the Cards did their best to gift wrap the division for the Cubs. The Cards were consistently pummeled by the Cubs. The Cards started the Brewers downswong with the weekend with 3 4+ run comebacks FTW. The Cards did their best for the Cubs. I mean, if the Cards could have done any more, they would've won the division themselves.

FWIW, the Cards did go with their better pitchers for this series. A not very good team that isn't inspired after numerous years of playoff chases is not likely to put up a fight.
