dip,

dont reraise AJ OOP that deep against that guy.

call PF.

[/ QUOTE ]

can you please elaborate? i thought this was a pretty standard 3bet spot.

[/ QUOTE ]

the deeper you are, the less value you get from marginal 3-bets. i.e. w/ 100bbs you can 3-bet here and stack happily on a J hi flop and usually get good value on an A hi flop as well. 200bbs deep your reverse implied odds are just obscene here since almost no one is stacking off w/o TPTK or an overpair at the very least this deep.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow, really? There's so much I don't know about how to play with more than 30 BBs.

OK, so say I take dave's original hand and modify it some.

villain is 22/10/6 over 45 hands

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed)

UTG ($25)
MP ($28.40)
<font color="green">CO ($25)</font>
Button ($46.65)
SB ($30.30)
<font color="green">Hero ($25)</font>

Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
2 folds, <font color="red">CO raises to $1</font>, 2 folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $3.75</font>, CO calls $2.75.

Flop: <font color="blue">($7.00)</font> J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
<font color="red">Hero bets $6</font>, <font color="red">CO raises all-in to $21.25</font>, Hero ???

Easy call, right?
