It's not about taking anger out. I'm not yelling at the screen every single minute or anything, it's just releasing anger once in a while. Isn't that a good thing?

I guess it's good if you have that anger. But even better is to not get angry (or happy), just play goot and listen to Van Halen.

It's for cash games. Stars reloads 20bb for you when you bust so you don't miss your blinds.

It's not like it's every 5 minutes, it's not too often & it doesn't really bother me. I'm getting better as it is because it's something I can really help....

i find it helpful to root for the fish to suck out on you. then, when he hits you just type "i knew i shoulda folded". when he misses type "tough luck, i know you'll hit the next one".

Couple things here.
I realized I think literally everything in life is caused by variance (although FWIW it's pretty true)
This happens in weird situations like
Cha one of my first thoughts when you said your daughter was on the bridge was variance because there had to have been thousands of people on that bridge yesterday and it is variance your daugther was one of them.

Berating the fish is stupid because it is futile. It is like trying to explain to a christian god doesn't exist or an athiest god does exist they won't change there mind and it won't make you feel better. The best thing to do is to screw around and do stuff like "who has more chips?" "sometimes you need to gamble" Also I will occasionally call out regs who I hate or who make retarded bubble calls.

darin,
You probably need to mix in 60s, mtts, or 225s.

Whenever I lose an all-in preflop where I went in with by far the best hand, I just say I was bluffing and congratulate them for catching my bluff.

this is really smart;

because as better players it's our goal to win. in order to win we need to keep the worse players happy so that they keep coming back to play in our games (online poker basically).

ever been to a casino (or any other reputable establishment) and noticed how nice you're being treated by the employees? we need to act just like that about everything.

QFT: This is a pretty core piece of my view of the world. This understanding is one of those things keep it together.

Its reminds me of my favorite Steven Siegal movie, Under Siege. "Fortune favors the prepared mind."

When my gf is done with college she'll likely have a job from about 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Therefore, I'll likely play this schedule. I'm kind of curious as to how much my hourly rate will dip doing this. To do this I need to estimate an avg. stake for this time period.

I will ship $50 to the 1st person who PMs me about this.

Here's what I want from you:

Around 9 a.m. central Monday through Friday next week I want you to write down how many games are running at each of the following stakes for 6 man SNGs on Pokerstars:

$39 turbos
$76 regular
$78 turbo
$119 turbo
$121 regular
$235 turbo
$325 regular

Since it'll only take a couple minutes a day I think $50 is very, very good. My bro is doing the same for 7 a.m. & I'll be doing the same for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

There's a couple problems here:
1. Poker players are very lazy
2. Poker players like to sleep in

However, I'm hoping I can at least find someone on this forumn to do this.

Thanks,
-Hub
