OP was far too invested emotionally with a girl he had no relationship with = he's likely going to hurt.

OP's friend was not as good of a friend as OP originally thought. OP needs to pick better friends, and to stop being passive and letting friends take advantage of him.

The girl probably wanted OP's friend long before OP had a crush on her. It is possible that she was mad at her sister (revenge). Possible she knew she couldn't have him because he's her sister's ex (the forbidden fruit). Possible she just likes skinny, dorky guys (and wanted to be dom). Or it could be a combo of any of these (or all) or it could be something entirely different. I gave up trying to understand chicks a LONG time ago when I realizes that they are all fecking insane.

The thing OP needs to do is to start looking out for himself first and foremost. He can not control the actions of friends or girls he wants to be involved with. He can only control his own actions. OP, what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. Learn from your mistakes here.

i think a fact that is particularly telling is that the forum is basically split on the issue (perhaps a poll is in order?), and the forum hasn't even heard the friend's side of the story. or the girl's for that matter.
