XChamp,

The main reason the focus is on RB's is because of position scarcity. In a 12 team league with 1 QB 2 RB 3 WR and 1 RB/WR you are looking about about:

30/42 RB's used on a weekly basis. This is counting RB's in an RBBC that you would use like in JAX and DAL
42/64 WR's used.

Now compare that to 12/32 QB's and you get the picture. For this reason I'm doing a league with

1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 QB/RB/WR flex

Basically it is a start 2 QB league but the flex allows for bye week coverage since there aren't 36 QB's.

Ok, this makes more sense to me although I don't understand some of your numbers or what 'RBBC' means.

You are basically saying that I can easily get, at a minimum, the 12th best QB in the league as my starter, but if I'm not careful I might end up with a starting RB that is about the 36th best RB in the league and thus hardly gets any playing time and wont put up any points. Is this right?

You have a whack scoring league basically. But really it shouldn't matter, it's about the difference in points between the 1st tier RB's and the 3 tier and the difference between 1st tier WR & QB's and 3 tier. The margin is wider with RB's and the position is scarce since you must start 2.

Yes that is essentially right. You obviously can't wait until the last round to pick your QB and such, but this is why you see many drafts with 90% of the picks in the first 7 rounds as a RB or WR.

What do you lose with the keepers? The round you picked them in? If so, list the rounds. No way that can currently be in order. If you don't lose anything Housh and Barber seem like the easy choices
