Those of you who noted the Mexican dominance were correct. Red, white and blue was in 3rd place behind Mexico Green and Chivas red & white. But the award for most bizarre costume goes to the guy II wandered by Sam's Army before the game and the most bizarre costume goes to the guy in the Captain America costume complete with padded chest. I didn't catch who the players were involved with that headbutt, but the American player was carted off. A Mexican player was carted off just before the trophy presentation, probably not realizing that it was too late to dive.

I missed the 2nd half for a softball game but am planning to watch it at about midnight.

Very surprised to hear that Feilhaber scored the winner because I thought he played horribly in the first half. Nice turn around.

great match.

guardado and castillo on mexico are all class.

the americans did well, no one in particular stood out, aside from donovan who had his best match for the national team in some time (note: that i've seen. i've missed quite a few matches of late).

all in all, good show. i hope they keep a fullish roster for the copa america.

Do they have the venues?

[/ QUOTE ]

They do but spread out alot. Edmonton has largest facility and has attracted big crowds. Canada is hosting U-20 World cup this week. Also Canada may have come close that games but looked horrible in the first half. Canada still has a long way to go. Weak in Goal andin the back
