Also the most difficult hard song is easily six. I've 5 starred every other song on hard, while six is just a 3 star. Yikes

Me too.

I guess there's divided opinion on how to handle the Orange button, but I find it easier to leave my fingers in the RYBO home position and make my index finger do the hard sliding work.

[/ QUOTE ]

Staying in RYBO is hard for me because I played Medium first. Because there's no orange key, I stayed with my index on green. It became second nature for me to see yellow on the TV and use my ring finger without thinking. So if I place my home at RYBO, I'll see yellow and hit the blue key with my ring finger because my hand is in the "wrong" place. I'm trying to break that habit, but it is taking me forever.

BTW, for me the hardest song on Hard (so far) is Woman. I was able to at least 3-star every song on the first try. But it took me two weeks to get past Woman. I'm at the 6th tier now, and still haven't failed any song except Woman.

[/ QUOTE ]

This was true for me at first...I would see the color, but think the finger that presses that button. It really is much easier once you learn to think about what button and not what finger. I use the RYBO default position, but depending on the song, I sometimes spend more time in the GRYB position. I don't even really think a lot about what fingers I'm using. I sometimes even use the YBO_ position, but I may be a little weird for that.

So, I've had my 360 for a week now. I went over to a friend's house who just got GH2. I played about 5 songs on easy and I knew I needed to get it, so we went straight to the nearest Best Buy and grabbed one. We then went through all the co-op songs on easy (1 marathon session). I'm getting good quick, but of course I'm only using 3 buttons for now. I got 100% on the first song right before I left his house. Right now I'm proud of that accomplishment, but I hope in a few weaks I look back at how weaksauce that is.

In a few weeks, when you're doing the Hard level, you'll try the Easy level and be bored to tears with it. It's really amazing how quickly one can progress in the game, yet still have so far to go. (e.g,. I'm to the point where I can 4-5 star half of the songs on the Hard level, yet I still can't finish Crazy On You.)

I played last night on my own game for the first time. I got to level 5 or 6 before I got tired. I was easily 5 starring a lot of the songs. I think I went like 4 songs in a row without missing more than 3 notes on any of them. I choked away a couple 100%s late. I guess I'll be working on the blue button really soon.
