Re: FTP Answers 6/7
May be fixed, watched one of my tables I would play at and there was no serious lag over a few minutes. Too bad I'm in a HORSE tourney on Stars now. Ah well, I guess I'll bust soon.

I can't publicly share that evidence, but I'd be willing to provide someone like Mike Haven with a sample of what we have and he can post his opinion. </font> [/ QUOTE ] DO THIS. [/ QUOTE ] I'd back this too. Should be interesting, if nothing else. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] - Yeah, we're definitely going to fix this. Unfortunately, I don't know when it will get in, as other monster projects have taken priority (see http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/the-big-project for a taste). I'll keep bugging people until it's in. [/ QUOTE ] This has exciting implications. [/ QUOTE ] OH MY DEAR GOD!!! [/ QUOTE ] The sad part is that I keep falling for this no matter how many times someone does it. At the least, FTP seems to have a sense of humor. Good one. |

. 1. The first thing you'll probably notice is the addition of time banks. Not that I need to say this, but post any issues you see with this feature. One difference from other sites is that you always have to manually press the Time button to activate your time bank, it will never activate automatically. So multi-tablers watch out for that . For those of you worried that the addition of time banks means fewer hands per hour, let's take a look at note #2. 2. Hands are dealt faster and the "standard" decision time is shorter (the time before the game beeps at you and starts counting down your rainbow). The "feel" of the game should be pretty much the same as you're used to, we tried to only make subtle changes. Hopefully the games are no slower with both 1 and 2 together, and if you get a bunch of fast players together it should be a decently faster paced game. . . [/ QUOTE ] FTP finally did something right!!!!! Very right. Tuff . |

Re: FTP Answers 6/7
Well, I expected to find FTP abandoned and in ruins. But I got home and got around to logging on...and there are 45k players logged on and nobody at the three tables I'm playing (with no lag) seems to be having any trouble. I'm on a 3-year-old Mac G4 with OS X.3.9, and I can't say I've had a lot of lag problems prior to this. The only time the FTP software has been a little sluggish is when I've been doing other processor-intensive stuff in the background.
So, although I don't think it's OK that this update is extremely problematic for most of you, I'm not finding it a lot different from yesterday. |
