Do any of you guys watch Las Vegas? I recently saw one of the episodes from the new season and thought it was really great. Im currently streaming a season 4 episode and will prolly watch that whole season via the internets. Im gonna DVR the new episodes of season 5 so I dont get confused. Billy Ray and his daughter are sweet. Every time I think of them I get all choked up. I want to hear Ready Set Dont Go again and again. (also, love that opening with Max and Karina where she jumps into his arms. Wow!)

Yeah, some of the lifts in the course of their rumba were pretty amazing.

We DVR Vegas. It's kind of fun. Missed the season premiere, but DVR is set now.

is no one else watching Damages? By far, it's the best thing on TV right now...I can't believe how intricate and well-written the show is. Plus, there's some incredible performances, especially by Zeljko Ivanek. This one will be well-worth owning when it comes out on DVD.

For those who don't know, it's a legal/murder mystery with a season-long arc. It's really just a long mini-series...I'm not even sure if they're planning on having it continue.

Great, great show.

Jesus, last night's show was good (Holy body count however, maybe I need to get out of litigation for my own safety...) In general, I think the multiple timeline plot device is kinda played out, but they are doing it VERY well in this one. Zero chance that crazy girl is the one who kills fiance though. Book it.

Ivanek is awesome, I can't think of anything he's ever been in where he wasn't good.

I really like the multiple timelines and how they're getting closer and closer to one another...I think the psycho girl may actually be involved in the case somehow...

We're assuming Frobischer had George Moore killed, correct?

I love the little details that you assume are one thing but are later found out to be something else - like the blood stain on Patty's shoe and her and Ellen's conversation in the flash-forward about "going too far." I always thought she was talking about David for some reason, but last night it's obviously about Ray.

Tonight, I'm planning on just kicking back, watching some TV, and not thinking about FORTRAN. I have yet to catch up with the Office and 30 Rock, but I watched some others.

Life: Life is getting cut this week. It wasn't bad, but it continued to follow the same formula, and it looks like it's going to continue to follow that. It's a fairly standard cop show/whodunnit, and then they give you just the tiniest snippet of the backstory, which is the only real reason to watch this show over any of the other standard cop shows/whodunnits on TV right now. It's not like the snippets are the main character collecting clues or making progress on his case, either. No, the snippets are just this show filling us in on the basic details of why Crews went to jail in the first place. Instead of making us actually care about this guy and his case, they're leading us along with manufactured curiosity. Well, I no longer care enough to be curious. The trick worked for a couple episodes, but by this point, I'm just unfulfilled. If they actually spent a fair bit of time in an episode about the backstory, things might be different.

Journeyman: Journeyman got cut and I didn't even watch it. It might be decent for what it is, but the premise never grabbed me.

Bionic Woman: Bionic Woman is on probation. The premise should work better, but sometimes the writing and the acting grates on me even more than Heroes does. If it doesn't pick it up next week, I'll have one less show to follow.

Journeyman looked interesting but it seems like it's just going to be a reason for this guy to go around jumping time and helping people, with no real story thru-line (like Lost or The Sopranos). Basically, it's that Scott Bakula show all over again.

So i'm cutting it as well.

What's up with The Office not being funny anymore? One hour shows are an awful idea.

I dunno, since I haven't watched this week, but weren't the 1 hour shows last season usually very good?

I watched The Office last night. I thought it was better than the other two episodes this season. So far the first was the worst. Agree with Dom that the hour long shows are too long. The writing is not clever enough to justify it.

Someone in OOT made the comment that Steve Carell is the weakest link. Do you guys agree?

I love what they've done with Ryan and also the fact that they have brought Andy back. I hate the Jim and Pam thing. Ugh.
