If it was a home run the ball would not have bounced back in to the field of play. It obviously hit the top edge of the fence. therefore it hit the yellow line and therefore it is not a home run.

[/ QUOTE ]

what fence?

[/ QUOTE ]

the fence covered in padding with a painted yellow line on top.

clearly not a homerun...any part of the yellow is in play (i'm almost positive?) and that zoom replay shows the padding on the top of the fence bounce.

Even if it wasn't a homerun, how bad are we running that a ball it's the back edge of the top of the wall and bounces back?

seth,

Bellhorn is possibly my favorite red sox of all time. He's just awesome on so many level. I'm convinced he and Leskanic worked in the same auto garage listening to heavy metal and smoking lots of weed.

Would this be a good time to bring up my theory that Theo's biggest [censored] was not re-signing O-Cab?

[/ QUOTE ]

you can't sign he who does not want to be signed

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm pretty sure O-Cab is on record saying they told him some thing like "thanks, but we're not interested in you anymore."

[/ QUOTE ]

I thought it was common knowledge that he hated playing in Boston and didn't want to be here anymore. I could be wrong though, who knows.

That's awful if they didn't want to resign him. I don't think that's the case, though.

[/ QUOTE ]

After the champagne had dried, the Red Sox never made an effort to keep Cabrera as their shortstop. Part of the reason was that Boston seemed infatuated with another shortstop from Colombia, Edgar Renteria. There also have been rumors that the Red Sox had some off-the-field issues with Cabrera that weren’t related to how he played or behaved in the clubhouse.

‘‘It’s something that was never explained to me by the Red Sox,’’ said Cabrera. ‘‘I’m just happy that I was able to sign with one of the teams I wanted to play for.’’

It would be nice if Beckett could give us 7 shutout innings going forward. That would make tonight a lot less stressful.

homerun ball looked too close to call. that's assuming i have the rule correctly. if it hits the top part (flat part) of the yellow line, what's the call? because that's 100% definitely where it hit.
