Are you serious? More like bet to build a pot that way you get money from people that actually have hands, instead of hoping and praying an overcard hits that 1) Completes their hand, and 2) Keeps their hand worse than yours.

But they're still gonna call with a bunch of hands here. I mean, you can check and pray for the 7% chance that an ace comes on turn that gives someone a pair, or you can bet and hope to get value from a 10, or KQ or the remaining jack.
