It's a half pot bet (rake).

I want him to think he can push me off the hand when I check a blank river. Or come over the top of me right there on the turn.

I hate poker. I don't know how some of you higher limit guys dont shoot yourself when you run bad. Just knowing i'm out 500+ bux has me in sad clown mode.
