Why is Mota still on the roster? Surely Schmoll or Adkins or Joe Smith or even Burgos now that he is back can contribute more than Mota.

I don't care if the Mets have to eat the $5 million they gave him.

damn, when my uncle and his friends left after 8 to beat the traffic, I sarcastically told them they were going to miss a great comeback.

If only, if only...

At least this team has been showing some guts lately. Get the series win tomorrow and we're back on track. Didn't really expect this one going in anyway. Good thing the PHils and Bravos lost.

how many games has mota cost us that dont show up as a blown save? like this one. i can think of many games where he gave up tack on runs and then the mets come back and fall short

send him to the minors and bring up joe smith

enough already

and delgado should be batting 8th fwiw

This is always a silly way to look at it. If we're down 4-2 then Hoffman is coming in to start the inning, and who knows if we start a rally in the first place.

who knows may be true ... but it happens too often. Mets seem to come back late a lot .. and if the game stays close we often win ,.... and if mota or schowenweis et al let the game get out of hand then it bites us and we fall short

Send Mota down to New Orleans and see if he can fix himself. Do it now. He is [censored]-ing killing us

Last year, yes. This year we have shown a distinct lack of ability to come back from small deficits. (At least that is my impression. Not sure what the #'s say)
