W/regards to this - I agree 100%. Murray's computer is a simple example. Episode 1 he has a laptop. He gets a new desktop to replace a POS that he has for a while then goes back to the POS.

If they're trying to get a laugh by intentionally screwing up the continuity of the show then that's some really lazy writing. That's the only way I can figure it being an obvious joke.

I think it's way more likely that they decided they had missed a joke opportunity (making fun of the ancient Commodore 64 or whatever it was) and decided to sacrifice some continuity in order to squeeze it in, which is forgivable IMO.

IT wouldn't be the first time a show has had a continuity gag. It's just a cute thing to see if peopel are paying attention. The problem is that it's hard to tell if that's the case or not yet. Hopefully the show will get like 3 seasons deep and one day Big Blue will be sitting on Murrary's office and we'll all lol like so many cats on the internet.

Yeah I know it's nothing new. I just expect better from them and would be surprised if that was their intention.

bret's character has had blatant discontinuity as well, mainly as a result of the episode with "foo foo fa fa"

LOTR song was good, the rest, I dunno not so much. As mentioned before, I'm not a Murray fan and I think I'm becoming less of one the more focus he takes.
