should I be playing MTTs or am I just running hot?
I've played 7 MTTs this year...all freerolls.
I've chopped as the chipleader in 2 of the last 3 PokerStars 50k Supernova VIP freerolls. First chop had 5 players. Second had 4. The tournies had 698 and 818 players IIRC.
I've been playing poker for 3 years fulltime.
I'm mainly no-limit holdem 6max these days, but have also played a fair bit of fullring no-limit holdem, fullring and 6max limit holdem, fullring limit omaha8, and fullring pot-limit omaha8.
I've read HOH1, HOH2, and the poker tournament formula a couple of times.
I played a handful of tournies in '06 (all freerolls or $22 entries or less) and had a 3rd place finish out of a few thousand in a $22 buyin on party.


Basically, are the fields in the Supernova tournies difficult enough that I should think about playing lots of smaller or mid stake tournies?
Also, is the sunday warm-up or sunday million potentially positive ev? I want to make the most of my FPPs rather than buy the bonus all the time.

Am I just running insanely hot?

The Sunday Million field is obviously very soft and it would be hard to be -EV in the field.

iirc, you are a shortstacker and thus should be decent with ranges and able to re-steal and all that fun stuff. I imagine some of the more important concepts would come easy to you.

Basically, if you feel like playing some MTTs, go for it, they are soft.
