no you dont get anything for goldstarring a song. I even goldstarred every song (except bonus songs) on medium to see if it would unlock something, but it didn't. Still fun to try though.

Guitar Hero 3 comes out in a month, so we'll move on to that. Then we'll move on to Rock Band.

Beat easy.
Beat Medium.
5 star all Medium.
Beat Hard.
5 star all hard.
Beat Expert.
5 star all expert.

That should unlock all the guitars.

Good luck getting 5* on Jordan on Expert. I've played it approximately 5,000 times and beat it once... because I got lucky.

Protest the Hero - Bury the Hatchet
Trivium - Detonation
Atreyu - Ex's And Oh's

Pretty challenging songs although they're not exactly my taste musically.

btw, if you haven't grabbed the new DLC, do it .. they're fun (new/tougher) songs to play

just 5 starred all medium last night. there were a couple tricky ones but i got there. just beat the first tier of songs on hard today. WOW... the jump from medium to hard is incredible.

It stands for "Full Combo". It means that you got 100% on the song AND didn't hit any extra notes. (If you hit an extra note, your note multiplier will go back down to 1X, but you can still get 100%.)
