I also saw Chad open for Band of Horses and agree he was really good live.

Anyone else jazzed for the Pitchfork Music Festival this summer?

Personally, I'm making the trip to Chicago just to see Friday's lineup. Saturday and Sunday are just a cool bonus.

I am considering taking my gf down for Sunday. I thought Friday and Saturday's lineups looked like crap actually.

Daydream Nation and Spiderland are two of my top 10 favorite albums of all time. Plus I'd pretty much written off ever being able to see Slint, since I was like 10 when they broke up. Being able to see those albums performed in their entireties is an once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The rest of the lineup, while very cool, are all bands I could probably see somewhere that isn't 1000 miles from my home.

I don't ever listen to the radio, but from what I hear, this band is starting to get some play (so I'm not sure if you'd consider them "indie" enough anymore): Peter, Bjorn, and John

I started listening to them a couple years ago and think they're great.

You might have missed the "Brian Jonestown Massacre" buzz in the late 90's, so check them out if you haven't already.

If you like experimental, "concept" albums, check out 'Can's' Tago Mago album.

The Rifles, The Fiery Furnaces, Laura Veirs, Phoenix, Whitest Boy Alive, Grandaddy, Holger Czukay

Great suggestions in here already. Thanks for the tips.

I wanted to go but since I'm already going there for Lollapalooza I doubt it will happen.

Also, kind of surprised this one hasn't been mentioned because it has gotten really good etc, but Patrick Wolf - The Magic Position is awesome. That and Blonde Redhead - 23 have been dominating my playlist for the last week or two.

I'm really digging the debut album from Mika, he's a Lebanese-American guy from London who sings like Freddie Mercury.

His singles "Grace Kelly" and "Love Today" are especially awesome, and I recommend him to people like Nath who are fans of Scissor Sisters.

I'm very much enjoying the latest Fountains of Wayne offering Traffic and Weather.

Just got home from seeing the Rapture. It was a great show. I liked Pieces of the People We Love, but they sounded even better live, which I didn't expect.
