Most overrated movies of all time?

amazing that a B movie could be overrated, but i have seen people rank this as their favorite movie ever and i found it to be quite bad.

well when someone calls it their favorite movie and then when you ask why, they say "because its awesome", probably means that they aren't rating it as some cinematic masterpiece. i think its definitely awesome for what it is. for me, when i think "overrated" i usually think movies that get undeserved critical acclaim, although i guess you could feel BS failed at even being what it was.


there is a lot of japanese movies that were precursors to American films where people rave about them, especially on here, but I wasn't feeling them. maybe its because i'm just not used to them.

As for overrated - Titanic, Magnolia, Gosford Park.

And those that say Casablanca is overrated - did you at least enjoy the film. Maybe I'm getting old, but wtf, not only a must see . . . it's better than 99% of the crap made today.
