Dealer tip from J. Hachem? A single $100 bill. What a schmuck.

I agree with this completely...if a percentage of the prize pool is set up for them there should be no need for the champ to tip.
Also, why should it be the players fault that the casino doesnt pay their dealers enough? I personally think tipping the dealers is a little ridiculous seeing as how the casino gets $4 out of every pot. |

I think the 2% cut is plenty. Dealers make good money anyhow why should poker players tip all there money a way. As for calling him a chump for not tipping more ........the real chumps are the ones like YOU giving huge tips away .....STUPID,CONFUSEING, and soon to go BROKE with that mentality

if that's true - that's awful. [/ QUOTE ] I believe that the winner (and everybody else at the final table, IIRC) tips the entire ME staff a percentage of their prize, meaning that the staff was probably very well compensated for their hard work during the ME. Although I'm sure the OP considered that before calling him a 'chump'. |

the winner tipped the staff 100 bucks you figure the percentage [/ QUOTE ] Sorry, that doesn't sound plausible at all. You expect me to believe that his prize-pool percentage tip to the entire staff was $100 out of a $7,500,000 prize? If he was going to tip so little, why not just tip nothing? It seems much more likely that he gave the dealer a $100 bill and then his percentage tip was something else (perhaps someone can confirm whether or not Binion's staff is allowed to know how much an individual entrant tipped from their pool). Nobody would tip $100 out of a $7.5 million prize instead of $0 unless they were actively trying to insult. |
