Thing 85 and whoever else is in the group I just joined, sorry for the inconvenience, but my internet just decided to start hiccuping at the worst time. At least it gave you guys time to find another person. Good luck hitting the next milestone.

you guys realize that it doesn't matter that it's $5 per table for ev, just that if you hit, you win $2K min

I don't know about you and your roll, but for a lot of us, 2k is huge.

haven't read the whole thread so this may have already been addressed.

This is some REALLY bad logic.

The amount of value you get PER table IS completely relevant.

It has to do with your chances of winning compared with your time spend.

If they were 1-million tables running for this instead of 1,000 tables or fewer than your chance of winning $2k would be significantly decreased and the amount of time you spend chasing it wouldn't be worth it.

At $5/table * 8 tables for just a couple minutes of real effort in there this makes it worth it.
Of course, actually hitting the $2k is better than not.

Lets say there's a tourney with 10-million people playing. And it pays $1-million for first place and nothing for 2nd.
The value of your tourney entry is $0.10.
There's nothing yu can do to change that no matter how wonderful it would be to weed your way through this massive field and win 1st place.
The time spent compared with the value means that you likely have better things to do with your time (unless you pretty much enjoy playing for almost play-money).

Nobody DOESN'T want to hit the $2k in Stars promotion. But looking at how much value it is worth per table is necessary to determine whether it's worthwhile to even try.
Afterall, there are lots of promos going on at different sites all the time. Which ones are actually worth pursuing?

but you need to learn to analyze these things appropriately.
And your statement that $2k is really good if you hit it shows a lack of understanding for why one goes through that whole exercise in the first place.
