Sniper,

db's hilariously dumb X-Files Lounge suggestion (as part of the 80 lounges suggestion) was pretty damn funny.

[/ QUOTE ]

ElD, I believe that if you reviewed the lengthy public dicussion threads, you'll find similar suggestions from DB.

fwiw, that suggestion was pretty funny...

Although, I must admit that Mat's (what seemed at the time) offhand remark about hoping to have enough traffic to open an Automobile forum... and then actually opening an auto forum shortly thereafter ranks pretty high!

Sniper,

It would of course get tons of interest because lots of people would enjoy using things written in that forum to illustrate how dumb certain mods are.

[/ QUOTE ]

ElD, to be honest, I think you'll find that most of the dumb stuff written by mods is done in public.

As an example, this thread was the most viewed and most replied in Mod forum original thread, before it was moved here... aside from the actual stats, did you find anything of interest that wasn't also stated by a mod in public threads?

[/ QUOTE ]

sniper,

I don't think this is true. I can think of 4 threads of the top of my head started Ive started in relation to moderating which I think people would find funny/interesting/offensive etc. Im sure there are a dozen or more replies that fit the same description

[censored], I qualified my opnion by saying Most.

I do think there is a bit of quality material that would get some airtime, as well... and some of your personal best posts only appear in the Mod forum!

if astroglide agrees to be master of ceremonies we can make mod wars official in this forum for those who wish to participate.

[/ QUOTE ]

Can we rename this the mod wars forum?

November comments:

1. BBV passed OOT as the #1 posted forum this month. It will be interesting to see if it can continue its upward trend, or if the newly dubbed BBV Annex cuts into its growth.

2. Small stakes NL + Micro NL = 1,549 posts/day.

3. The legislation effect has clearly worn off... 5 of the 7 forums I mentioned last month as having significantly increased traffic due to legislation related posts, have dropped off this month. With the Legislation forum itself dropping 85%.

4. Other Poker Games had the largest % increase +405%, mostly due to the jump in Triple Draw posts.

5. Omaha High almost doubled last month's traffic

6. Video Games in the Playground started on the 10th, so its true traffic is about 130 posts/day.

7. Sklansky's forum started on the 28th, so its true traffic is around 300 posts/day... nice start!

8. The Thanksgiving holiday/weekend had a negative effect on overall posting traffic.
