Re: WSEX: Official Monthly Thread: June. (#10 of 10.)
[ QUOTE ]
And what about an MTT with a little higher buy-in than the norm? It seems to go straight from $10 to the High-Stakes (which rarely go off.) I know there's the occasional $50, but it doesn't get too many runners, either. What about a $25? [/ QUOTE ] Agreed. Those $10 tournaments are a great value, but many of us are looking for slightly higher stakes. I see that the $50 one at 12:30 AM regularly beats the guaranteed amount. Why not add more daily tournaments in the $25/50/100 range? |

On a more positive note, we are having a tournament tonight at 8:30 Eastern, $5,000 added NL TX Hold'em, $10 buy-in, Limited to 500 players. If only 10 people show up, we're still adding $5,000. Thanks for the continued generosity and for the constant efforts and successes in improving the site. [/ QUOTE ] Hear, hear. I really appreciate the addition of the HU NL cash tables so quickly after we requested it. I hope you'll consider adding HUSNGs too (preferably with 20-30 hands per blind level). Also, I have a bug to report. I have had a few random hands which were automatically checked for me. The first couple of times, I thought I must have accidentally highlighted the Check button before my turn. They were inconsequential hands where I didn't plan to bet anyway, so I didn't think too much of it. But most recently, when I was last to act on the river and somehow auto-checked down the nuts, I realized it was definitely a software problem. Has anyone else had this happen? |

the autopost bigblind button still needs to be fixed. Once you are autoposting, turning the button off does not stop you from autoposting

Sounds like WSEX still has some software problems.
And why do all you arrogant grinders think all casual players, AKA fish, are drooling retards. All they need to do is see (or hear of) the tight a$$ playing style the current system fosters, and they don't care WHY, they just leave. Tuff |

Re: WSEX: Official Monthly Thread: June. (#10 of 10.)
ouch 2 weeks? was wondering where my overnight check was.
its cool, just wish i knew before i cashed out also my cashout got delayed another week because i didn't validate my account, so i sent in the info 10 minutes after i received email requesting it, but no one told me i had to re request my cashout because it was canceled. they said it could be canceled or delay, but never said it was - and since i sent the info 10 mins after and never heard anything assumed it wasn't canceled. oh well. |

Because in my experience, the NL games seem to be pretty wild compared to PS or FT. |

Re: WSEX: Official Monthly Thread: June. (#10 of 10.)
I'm going to officially change my mind. Benjamin's ev calculations appear solid to me. Thus the suggested change would make it +EV to play significantly more hands.
As far as pissing off the regulars, don't they play tight because "tight is right?" I mean, I'd love to play every hand if that was the way to win. I fold because that's a winning strategy. Benjamin's proof shows that the winning strategy will be slightly more laggish with the change. I don't think the rocks are rocks just to be rocks. They are rocks to eek out rakeback. So it makes sense. Another something I've been thinking is that WSEX could allow HUDS, which would almost instantly bring in a lot of multitablers. You could keep the 100% concept, but the last 50 % or 25% of the bonus you get only if you gamble an equal (or greater) amount in the sportsbook (to the 50 % or the 25%). Most bets are 50/50, so you lose the juice (which will amount to 5% of what you bet if you go 50/50 with equal bets) WSEX makes some money (and hence has incentive to advertise), game availabilty and selection improves, and together with the new looseness the site grows by leaps and bounds over the next 90 days. And the multitablers will have to gamble in order to get the second half of their rakeback. Thus the HUDS are an acceptable compromise, I think. And I get an excuse to bet baseball. Alot. |
