I think I figured out what my big problem is with the episodes that focus on this part of the island... the actors are just awful.

I seriously hope that if Nikki and Paulo come back that she is a hot naked zombie that doesn't talk or even pretend to pretend to act...with Billie Dee Williams no less! His involvement should be a bigger topic IMO.

Anyway, decent ep while we take a break from the way more exciting goings on over in Otherville. I hope we get back to that soon though plz.

The Billy D bit was a really nice sendup of those horrible syndicated dramas that you coming out of Australia.

The more I think back on this ep, the more I like it. While I was watching it, I think I was just too caught up in WTF I DON'T CARE to really appreciate all the neat stuff they did.

wow, I actually went back and rewatched the episode today.. if you listen closely near the end, Nikki actually says "I'm paralyzed" not "Paolo lies."

why did that nit of a sawyer threw the diamonds away. even if there worthless on the island(which there not) theres still a marginal chance theyll get off the island

I'm re watching the episode right now and the scene where Sawyer, Jin, and Hurley discovered Paolo's body is pretty funny given what Sawyer said...

"Two people are dead you ever think they might have been poisoned"
"Is there some forensics hatch I don't know about"

I really liked the episode. It was like a walk down memory lane. I'm glad they got back to the beach. Also the stuff we saw with Ben/Juliet was very interesting even though the scene was really poorly written.

When Paulo goes down in the hatch to hide the diamonds, then sees Ben and Juliette, how is he not trapped down there after they close and lock the hatch?

Wasn't the hatch covered up by the plane at this point as well? It's post-Boone death but pre-Losties discovering it, right?

You bring up a very good point IMO.
Paulo would have had to push the plane alone, and even if we assume he did so himself (which is perfectly reasonable) he would have almost certainly left the door open which should have made Ben + Juliette curious and weary when entering the Pearl.
