Re: **Official** uNL Microbrew Thread - October PART DEUX
caine, I think the fact that so many people misplay the turn is what makes it so important. I almost never raise the turn with a monster. Do you notice how everytime someone posts a hand where they get raised on the turn everyone types baluga? I raise with junk and drawing hands and so on. I'm saying that if this is where the majority of players make their mistakes, it should be a place where we can make a ton of money and thats why its so important.

Re: **Official** uNL Microbrew Thread - October PART DEUX
i forgot to earn a point on 2 days...and I probably wont earn any today as tonight is halloween party.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think you play nl25. Getting the 5k points for Aussie at nl25 has got to be damn near impossible. It would take me 3 1/2 hours a day for 2 weeks of 9 tabling. thats just crazy. I barely make it at nl50. |

Re: **Official** uNL Microbrew Thread - October PART DEUX
Got me a full time job.
Every time I do this I am totally amazed at how ridiculously lucrative my profession is (contract graphic design) but then in 4 weeks time I'll be like "man if I could get to 400nl I could crush everything and not have to get up in the morning" and want to stop working again. This time, I think I will recall my last 20k hands where I've made like 1k or something pathetic, and then recall my weekly wage in the real world, and see if I can PUT TWO AND TWO TOGETHER FFS, to make myself more motivated to get my real life work in centre frame. |

Re: **Official** uNL Microbrew Thread - October PART DEUX
WOW - just played a couple of $1+$0.10 45 man MTTs on stars to cool off - seriously, I don't know how tourney players do it... Once you have raised 4xBB with AK and got 3 callers, flop TPTK, a c-bet commits you, 3 players call and one of them is guaranteed to river 2 pair!!!! Insta-tilt!!! Played 2 tourneys - first one busted out 12th with AK, 2nd one busted out 43rd with AK<AQ!!! Just don't go near them!

if you realy want to crush the games, I think the most important part is working on your turn play. it is definately the most misplayed street by far. So much goes into it that it can be difficult. You need to guarantee that your turn play flows from your flop and into your river play forr the desired outcome - showdown or no showdown...its all about the turn. [/ QUOTE ] I misplay every street, I don't discriminate. But what you say is true. I probably double barrel way too much and probably don't fold enough. I shoot for painting a picture for my opponent to see and take whatever lines I need to achieve it but I thinking this might be overboard against most opponents at FT 25. |
