Do you guys really enourage loose associates of your (neighbors, co-workers, distant cousins, blah blah) to play poker when they are really bad? I can't bring myself to do it. If I know them and know they are going to lose money in the long run I can't do anything but encourage them to not play or learn.

Thoughts?

I had a poker night last weekend, my neighbor came over and played. The neighbor won the most money, but honestly he's really bad.

He just created a PokerStars account yesterday and started playing online. He tried Limit at first, but has declared NL is the way to go.

Anyone playing low-buyin NL Cash, another fish just jumped in the waters

Yes, I'm already thinking of convincing him to play sit-n-gos.

Could you really put down a referral bonus just for some minor ethical issues?

I didn't encourage him to make an account, and the look on my face might of told him how bad of an idea I thought it was.

I'm debating helping him out and give him basic strategy to beat the low buy-ins sit-n-gos. I'm not sure he has the aptitude for it.

I don't know if he will listen to me anymore, I told him a tell on a good friend of his that played with us. He used it and it went bad, but from what he told me he misplayed the hand.
