You know, being a winning poker player really takes something extreme and under 1% of all players actually use poker to supliment their income ... and now post Frist 50NL is the 400NL of last year ... the games have become impossible, blimey uNL has gotten a BBV thread, so I can't spam the brew no more ... ohhhh sucks

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, its pretty disgusting how poker has evolved huh?

Guess even without the frist thing the game will always toughen up, more work for less pay.

Still not sure if the games are more fun now or then, i looked at PT recently and noticed 60% winners, 40% losers - Previously this was 20/80 and before that 10/90.

Used to love whining about this, but nothing we can do except out think the tags

anyone not work a "real" job - aka play poker for a living - and go thru the ordeal of renting an apartment w/out a "consistent/reliable flow of steady income"?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yep, it's a bitch but if you put a couple months down at once, they don't mind as much.

What happens when you make a table mad...

Hero (SB): $10.00
BB: $5.00
UTG: $8.50

CO: $27.80
BTN: $12.65

Preflop: Hero is dealt K Q (6 Players)
UTG calls $0.10, MP folds, CO calls $0.10, BTN calls $0.10, <font color="red">Hero raises to $0.50</font>, BB calls $0.40, UTG calls $0.40, CO calls $0.40, BTN calls $0.40

Flop: ($2.50) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 4 (5 Players)

So does this mean that in the next few years its going to become impossible for players to beat stakes above 100NL for a decent amount, or do you predict the games to get easier again as the poker boom dies down? (I.E. When are the games going to be at their toughest?)

As long as people keep learning, the games will get tougher. You won't notice it as much because there will be a new influx of fish as long as the WSOP is on TV.

Your best bet at how to win regularly is to learn how to outplay and outthink the bad TAGs.

They were all weak tight. Almost every hand there was heads up but after I raised about 7 times in a row they all called but one. Most people think NL10 is all loose but if you play it at 11am EST its far from it. Some tables avg VPIP is like 20. This tables loosest player was like 28/10. Rest were under 20. I constantly have to jump tables to find some droolers in the AM or early PM EST. Of course come 7pm EST its a whole different story...
