I think bbv4l is now big enough that we need a mod who just mods it. I love gw and I'm sorry he's stressing out, but I've always respectfully disagreed with some of his policies, namely the "Keep pushing me and I'll permaban you" policy. This just causes stupid and time consuming free XYZmoran campaigns. IMO, deleting offensive material and/OR locking accounts is a better solution.

Basically the way [censored] used to work is the best idea. He [censored] s you but you are free to return on another account if you don't act like an idiot. The current progression (warning/tempban/Banonsight) contributes a lot to causing bad confrontations like this one to happen.

Mat, please consider installing a mod from our current crop of longtime regs who 1. Is around all the time, day and night. 2. which allows them to enforce the rules by locking, deleting and restarting users (banning one account and letting them start over). 3. Isn't NT or someother reviled figure that will cause a lot of griping/headaches for you.

Finally, everyone please stop nominating me for mod. It's been made clear that I won't be considered because of my former resistence to any authority or censorship. Also because I am 1/2 gay. Buncha bigots around here imo.

This will result in 6 months of awesome drama. Then, somebody will open the BBV4L4REALZLOL forum. Then 6 months after that BBV4L will get pretty mediocre. Then 6 months after that BBV4L4REALZLOL will have a drama to call its own.

i agree with this but id rather have gild be the one to pick out a mod. im really against anyone who actively seeks to be a mod because it just creates a dick waving power tripping mod the majority of the time.

time consuming for mat and mods not us, lol we obviously have nada except the forum.

That's why it's funny when people say things like "dude it's just a forum" or something. I mean sure, it isn't very important, but it IS something that some sickos spend like a MAJORITY of their day/night doing.

I would feel sick depressed typing that but I am too hungover.

Anyway, I think CC or T-god are both good choices. The key to a good mod of bbv4l will be unshakability in the face of criticism and total disregard for either whining or flametorches.
