That was definitely the slowest hour of television I've ever been a part of. Jesus this show is slow.

It was interesting, and I liked Butchie freaking out, but I can't really say I loved it.

Another odd thing about this show.

Milich has this writing tick that you saw all the time on NYPD Blue. Goes like this.

"He's the guy that posted above me in this thread, kidcolin"

"He's the guy that wears the mask, El Diablo"

"He's the guy that wore a tie with a short sleeved shirt, Andy"

It's really weird to see it show up hear again. Always with the name ending the phrase.

Cas is so [censored] adorable.

The kid that plays Shaun might be the worst actor in the history of time.

I'm actually starting to not mind Shaun. It's really not that far off from a lot of retarded surfer 13 year olds. Cas, though adorable, has now become my least favorite character. The way she talks is annoying and her storyline is the least interesting so far.

"YOU HURT MY FEELINGS MOM" is my new gold standard for bad acting. Relative to that, my turn as Luvry the slop boy in an 8th grade production of Charlotte's Web is Oscar worthy.

My least fav would be Sissy. They've done such a good job making her dislikable that I wince when she's on screen. Also RDM has troubled getting the clunky dialog coming out right.

Who's RDM?

Agreed on Sissy. Last episode was much worse. It felt like she was just screaming the whole episode.

So many things happen that I am not understanding and they are not yet explaining but I don't feel lost.

I see what you're saying and mostly agree. It's a pretty interesting quality the show has, being able to blend the absurd and the mundane. That being said, I've pretty much been lost since the first episode.

Zack Morris next week!

I felt like I was watching an instant classic of a scene during John's rant but at the end couldn't make sense of one bit of it.

I am getting to the point of such confusion that I am going to have to read a writeup each week to explain what the hell is happening if I continue to watch this.

Mindless thoughts: Who the hell are those 2 mafia/drug dealer guys? Weren't they waiting for Butchie to come back? This whole Luke Perry storyline from the opening scene seems like a gigantic waste up to this point.

Edit: This kid who plays Shawn is so bad I am at a loss of words to describe him.

With the whole "my father" speech at the end, is it now safe to assume that the Christian angle is the correct one?

Yeah. Until this episode I was willing to plead ignorance and willing to accept others' opinion that he was actually nailing the surfer kid role. But that was terrible. I'm beyond confused how they couldn't get a better take. Even more confused how that line made it into last week's preview.

As much as I enjoyed the episode, I think it's going to be the type that is much more satisfying to re-watch once we have a clue what's happening.
