StarCraft 2 - Announced May 19th?

WC3 when seen in a total vacuum is a pretty good game, but seeing it in a vacuum is the hard part.

All these debates have been hashed out a million times before for the past few years amongst RTS circles.

This should all be water under the bridge.

There is no doubt in my mind the SC2 map editor will have support for WC3 style heros and leveling and even items, just don't expect to see them in default multiplayer mode.

I work at a national game retail store and our insider release date is October 2008.

Blizzard says the game will be released when it's ready (see roundtable video from the WWI). The stores sets there own release dates so people will book their copy at the store this early; more money for the stores.

And Boondah, there will be no 4th race according to Blizzard. Maybe in the expansion pack but hopefully not.
