No righty on that staff worries me.

[/ QUOTE ]
As others have pointed out, this is like saying, "No right-handed pitcher in the majors worries me."

There's a myriad of righties in the majors that worry me.

None are on the Cardinals.

Mets are in for a rude realization if we see carp again in this series. Throw 4 fingers up against delgato last night and Carp could have given up 1ER even as poorly as he pitched.

That's like saying, "The Mets could have won last night if Shawn Green caught Spezio's hit."

Except that the margin of victory was more than the two RBIs off that hit, right?

I guess its more like saying, "Glavine's line looked good, but Chavez doesn't come up with the play of his career and Glavine leaves with 2ER and a no decision instead of a W."

These "what if" scenarios are totally silly. The fact is Carpenter looked terrible and will almost certainly pitch better next game. The same could be said of Maine, even if there's less reason to expect him to pitch a gem.

I was pissed that Willie left Moto in after walking the guy on 4 pitches, but he claimed afterwards that Heilman wasn't ready yet.

i was at the game, uppder deck. as soon as he walked edmonds i said to my friend, they have to bring in heilman, but then we both looked over and saw HE WAS JUST STARTING TO WARM UP. this totally pissed me off, he should have been ready to go. i know mota got 0-2 on spezio anyway, and then spezio fouled off a bunch, but still, mota shouldn't have been in there.

Yeah, the mets going to their bullpen was certainly the solution to winning this game.

Play of his career?

Clearly you have not seen Chavez play defense this year.
