Anyone sitting around with nothing to do should turn on USA (or Universal HD if you're lucky) and watch Spadea-Federer. Spadea's such a character he wanted to come in studio before the match and guarantee a victory. Sheedea?

p.s. I cried.

Nadal has to be sick in the head somehow. I think the only reason it's not clear is because he doesn't speak english so it's hard to measure it up. But between the water bottles, the rehearsed fist pumps, and the fact that nothing fazes him while he plays say to me he's at least a few kinds of autistic.

I agree that last roddick match was pretty ugly on his part, because he was on the defensive the whole time since the other guy was hitting so big. But I'm so relieved that people like him and gonzalez are still somewhat successful-- watching them against people like hewitt and murray make me feel better about my own struggles against pushers.

Roddick on the challenge system:

Q. Are you surprised that the challenges come out less than 50% in favor of the players?
ANDY RODDICK: Not really, because I've done it a couple times where, you know, it's breakpoint and the ball is really close and you're not really sure if it does either way. But it's 5 All in the first set or 5 All in the second set and you figure you might as well. I've challenged probably 60% of the times hoping as opposed to because I have two challenges.
I think that stat's a little deceiving. Sometimes you go with your pot odds and, you know, hope for the best.
